Update

Here is an update for the little things that have been on my mind lately. All very exciting stuff...

First off, NEWSFLASH! Lent is in a week and a half. Goodness, time really flies! I have tossed around of few ideas of my goals for this Lenten season but I haven't set my mind yet. I better get crackin', though. This blog was part of my Lenten season last year. Actually, this blog became to be because of lent. I haven't decided whether I want to blog everyday like I did last year. It's a possibility. Whatever I do, it really has to help me become a holier and better person. I like to set my Lenten resolution for something that is well-rounded. I usually do something that involves health, spirituality, and something random. We will see. I am excited to see what I decide on. Lent is one of my favorite times of the year!

Second of all, I finished my very last graduate school application earlier this afternoon. This is a huge deal! I am glad that process is done and now begins the waiting game. I have an interview scheduled for the University of Central Missouri February 20th. I am anticipating that I should hear something relatively soon from the University of Denver. My UMKC application that I finished today isn't due until March 1st, so it will be a while to see how that plays out. All I know is that the more I think about graduate school the more excited I become. When you know what you really want to do you just want to go do it. I am ready to learn more and to start practicing what I learn. However, I know that I need to enjoy this very easy break that I have. Things will get tough in the coming months... but I like the challenge!

GRE? What? Yeah, I haven't started studying for that yet. That is definitely on my list of things to do. I really wanted to get all of my applications done so that I would be able to concentrate on studying and not be too burdened. It crossed my mind to have the GRE be a goal of mine for lent. I think that is funny. Maybe it will. I kind of doubt it, though. The moral of this conversation is that I need to start studying. I have a feeling that studying will come sometime within this month. I first need to get extremely pumped and motivated on the inside before I start. I am getting there.

This is a pretty good update I feel. I will definitely be blogging the next week and a half about our Lenten season. I would love to hear all of your ideas and goals for the upcoming Church season. I love hearing what people come up with. I find it very interesting. What should you be working on that will help you become a holier person? Now that is something to think about.
